What Causes Kidney Stones

  1. Low urine volume – Lowe urine may come from dehydration. 
  2. Diet – A diet high in animal protein can raise acid levels in the body and urine.
  3. Bowel Conditions – Certain bowel conditions can raise the risk of forming calcium oxalate kidney stones.
  4. Obesity – Obesity can change the acid levels in the urine, leading to kidney stones.
  5. Medications – Some medications like calcium and vitamin C supplements can increate risk of forming stones
